NANA BOARD MEMBERS
Sardauna Sokoto is the Chair of Board of Trustees of Nana Girls and Women Empowerment Initiative. Lawal Maidoki is a Civil servant, Islamic Scholar and a Traditional title holder of Sadauki Sokoto. As the name implies, Sadauki (meaning committed to serve humanity) is a humanitarian and development activist.
Professor Aishatu Madawaki, OFR is a Nigerian academic and politician. She was the first woman professor from the old Sokoto state (comprising present-day Sokoto, Zamfara, and Kebbi States). She served as commissioner under three different administrations in Ministry for Women Affairs and Ministry for Basic Education.
Fatima Lamishi Adamu (PhD) is a Sociologist, Project Manager and a Women’s Right Activist in Nigeria. She served as a National Programme Manager of Women for Health (2012-2020), a UKaid funded programme in Nigeria that is managed by DAI Global Health.The programme implemented in Borno and Yobe state supported women from IDPs camps to enroll into Nursing and Midwifery training where 380 benefitted.
Dr Aisha Nana Adamu (MBBS, MSc, FWACS, MPH)
Chief Consultant, Obstetrics and Gynecology at Federal Medical Centre. She is a Reproductive health and Maternal health expert and headed many Departments. She is a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons and has Master’s in Public Health and Masters in Mother and Child Health (University College London, United Kingdom).
Maimuna M. Bala, is an Educationist and Vocational Training Specialist. She has held several positions including Commissioner of Education. She has Master’s degree in Education and English and served in different capacities as teacher and administrator
Alhaji Shehu Ahmed Wali
He is a member of Yauri Emirate Council and held the traditional of Walin Yauri. He is an Educationist that served as Vice Principal, Principal, and Zonal Educational Inspector.
Kabiru Alhaji Musa
He is an administrator and currently occupied the position of Deputy Registrar at Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State. He Obtained first degree in Politics and Economics and Master’s degree in Public Administration.
