Habiba Umar is the current Director of Operations of NANA with a master’s degree in Environmental Microbiology. As the Director of Operations, she oversees the organization’s administrative aspects and participated in some project implementation. She was the project officer of the State2State project to have a group of women come together to advocate for basic education in their communities called the Women Advocacy Group for Education (WAGE). Her role as project officer gave her skills in advocacy and community engagement. Habiba has worked as a teacher for over ten years at Usmanu Danfodio University Model Secondary Sokoto.
